1. Chocolate Fondant
Few desserts can compete with the luxurious richness of a well-made chocolate fondant. Also known as molten chocolate cake, it has a soft, gooey center that’ll leave your guests wanting more.
Ingredients:
- 200g dark chocolate
- 100g unsalted butter
- 150g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 60g flour
- Butter and cocoa powder for molds
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). Prepare your molds with butter and cocoa powder.
- Melt the chocolate and butter together in a bowl over simmering water.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, then sift in the flour and mix gently.
- Pour the batter into the molds and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before inverting onto plates. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
